Tonight’s view from my hotel room.  All is Good but my time in Duluth would be ending.

Day 13 | Duluth, MN – Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada

The day would be filled with overcast skies, light rain and the introduction of some new scenery.  It has been a number of seasons since I was in this area and had forgotten most of it as I returned to visit.  Here I would begin my plan B of my journey.  The Lake Superior circle.

Prior to leaving Duluth I was seeking out a few locations I wanted to visit yesterday but unfortunately did not due to heavier rain.   

I found the Leif Erickson statute however could not location the Viking ship.  I really wanted to see this reproduction however finally had to give it up.

So it was time to head down Bob Dylan Way and be Like A Rolling Stone!

One of my first stops would be in Two Harbors

Two Harbors is home to Agate Bay Beach, Two Harbors Lighthouse and the Agate Bay docks with load ore boats

The Two Harbors Light is the oldest operating lighthouse in Minnesota.

[Jock]

Construction was completed in 1892.  There were three keepers.  The tower is ~ 50ft tall and the head keeper’s residence is attached.  The walls of the tower were built three bricks thick and the house was five bricks thick.  SHAZAM!

Right down the road you will find Gooseberry Falls State Park which has a bridge over the falls.

The falls themselves are nothing to brag about but the peace obtained by the sounds are tranquil.
