Beaver House!  Hot Damn!  OH!  That kind of beaver!  Ahhhh…

Downtown you can walk across to the beach…of rocks…

A cute little town to raise a family.

Now I have heard of flying fish but never this BIG and through a roof no less!  Time for me to hop on my steed and ride away.

So at this point I am just a few miles from the Canada, time to get a helmet on and cross the border!

I am greeted at the border by the unofficial Canadian mascot!  Just 2ft from the bike!

Once in Canada, there were a number of potential stops between the border and Thunder Bay, just not enough time to take them in.

Day 14 | Thunder Bay, Ontario – Wawa, Ontario

Given the fact that I was having to develop plan B on the fly, I had not conducted the research I would have liked prior to this visit.

I was informed that the Sleeping Giant Provincial Park was a must see since it contained one of Canada’s wonders.  Unfortunately after spending over 1-1/2 hrs with only a couple of cars on the road, I came up short!  I was shocked since I was informed of its beauty and uniqueness. 

Given that position, I had to take a photo to remind me of this experience.  Not to mention the fact that I came 2ft off the seat as a result of the road condition when traveling too fast!

Eagle Canyon Adventure contained Canada’s longest suspension bridge.  In addition there is a zip line ½ mile long reaching over 45mph.

Beware – To reach Eagle Canyon Adventure you must endure this road.  At this point, I reminded myself that the road conditions would be poor and there would be plenty of road construction occurring.

Rossport would be a stop off the beaten path

The Aguasabon Falls and Gorge boardwalk leads to a viewing platform overlooking the 10ft. falls.  The road is paved and the boardwalk is nice.

Highway 17 does a nice job of hugging the bay with some interesting sights along the way.  As you can see, yet another overcast day with some smoke from the Banff fires.

Curling!  I am not certain I will ever understand this sport.

In addition to the Marathon Curling Club, it is home to Pebble Beach.  Now I have been to Pebble Beach in the States and even blessed to have ridden through there curtesy of fellow website members but this ain’t that Pebble Beach!
