I just installed the fender extension on my 07 SEUC yesterday.  It currently is the diamond black Street Glide color - which actually looks pretty good.  I may not paint it red after all - which was my original plan.  I also installed it with 3m tape - we will see how it works.  I am a bit concerned about the side vertical bands also - and I also will not hesitate to find a better method - even drilling a couple of holes if necessary.  I put it on to hid my Bushtec hitch - just as you have done...

I did all my wiring for the fender extension light in the tour pak.  I did the wiring for the Bushtec under the seat - using a connector purchased at JP Cycles.  I have about 4000 miles on the Bushtec so far and love it...

With the black already part of the paint on your red bike that would probably look just fine Scott.  Mine had no black (nor any other Street Glide color) already in it though.  So unfortunately I had to paint.

With the detachable tour paks on mine (and the paks being off more than half the time) I didn't have wiring the Street Glide light that way as an option.  Just brought it up the left side the same way the trailer harness was brought up the right side.  Tied it in at the same connections being made for the trailer.  It's all well hidden when the saddlebags are on and doesn't impact the tour pak detachability.

Did you hook your Street Glide rear light up as a tail light or a brake light?  I drank only one beer while considering it and decided to make it an extra brake light.  With the saddlebag spoilers I already had three tail lights working back there at different levels anyway.  Figured one more brake light couldn't hurt.

Don,

I hooked up the Street Glide rear light as both a tail light and brake light.  I theory is you can't have to many tail or brake lights!  I also added a led running/brake light strip under the tour pak.  Kind of like my Rinehart theory - if they hear me they might not run into me...

Ah, you must have got one of newer bulb assemblies  ::) .  I bought mine just before those were released.  It was just a single element piece and I was too cheap to buy another one right away and just throw it in the trash.

My tour paks have the spoilers on top of them.  Brake and running light functions there and nice and high.  The paks aren't on the bike half the time so when they're off hopefully the spoilers on top of the saddlebags replace the lost visibility a little.  If my tour pak was fixed I'd have wired the street glide light like yours and hung more light on on the pak too.  With the on-and-off nature of mine, however, had to do it differently.

Can anyone save me some research time and tell me if MOCO makes plugs for the openings in the Street Glide fender extension side rails?

Scott, they are 59749-06.  But don't go buy any.  I've got a pair here I didn't use.  PM your address and I'll put them in the mail.

By the way, on yours I wouldn't have repainted the black one either.  Looks like it belongs there.

MoCo pecker heads, I got mine when you did Don and then bought the other one that is the upgrade.  I really like the running light/brake light look though and don't think it is over done.  Can you have too much chrome/light?  Not im my OCD world.

I was in exactly the same spot Roger.  Had only had the "new" light in hand a week when the new new light was released.  I'd prefer it be both tail and brake.  Just for cool's sake I like the look of the tail light in normal operation or even when it's setting still.

Paid $130 to get the damned facia paint matched to the bike but was too frugal to buy another new light and throw the old one in the bin.  Since mine was just one lowly lonely function I figured its best safety use would be as yet another level brake light.

MoCo peckerheads.

Well I just found a Turbo+2 on ebay. Actually 2 of them. One is red & appears to be in better shape.
