« on: September 28, 2018, 04:02:11 PM »

So have a Thunder max tuner on a 124. Had a procharger on it but took it off. Where can I get a MAP to load that will be closer to what I need? Its so rich now, need something for a 124 with a 640 cam. It was S&S stock 124

Have you checked the Thundermax (software) database... Just found this by doing a Google search - Selecting and Loading a New Base Map from the TMax Software Data Base… don't have any experience w/TM nor do I know how current/correct that link is. :nixweiss:

If you go onto the Thunder-max.com website, go to "Support" you can download the latest software, it comes with all the maps, you just have to do an online update once you have it installed.

You will need a link cable.

I know this thread is old, but this info is fairly up to date 2023/24.
Look up Chris Waddle i think his name is at the reputable "Cycle Solutions" USA they spend over half the year out on the road with all their kit, mechnics, inc# Chris himself and stacks of parts, at least enough to do several twin cam and m8 top end, cam chest and primary rebuilds all using top quality parts, no crap, but they also have a lot to do with Tmax infact i think they were involved in some of the development work at some stage.
Anyway Chris highly recomends it and they've literally fitted and tuned at least well over a thousand now Tmax modules, inc' a lot at the major rallies and at their base's workshops where they're able to do full aftermarket engine and trans rebuilds, even total bike builds. Check out their Website.
They also a dealer for "K n P Engineering", who manufacture what i consider the Best billet aluminium, re-useable oil filters on the market they are unique in their design and I bought the S44 model which has a 33% higher volume and higher flow rate, just machined finish, which cost me £165, i managed to source them here in the UK, only about 3 or 4 yrs ago, a guy by the name of Albert, i think he was named "Speedmotoonline" or similar, down my first home town, London, yes i am infact the "Angel of Islington", not really at all now, but i was born there n spent my first 18 mths in that borough and my actual bloodline traces back to London too.

They're good too, ii cooled  my SE110 motor down more noticeably than the dual pass vertical Mishimoto oil cooler i got cheap brand new at a later date, inc having to buy the Jagg offset filter adaptor required, plus stainless oil lines and anodised fittings, a custom built set up with no room for a fan and i did it cheaper than retail at a cost of over £400 and i'm very dissapointed with it, but as i said that K n P Eng oil filter literally helps more and will easily outlast myself twice over, so was a good long term investment on the bike.

Sorry gone off subject i'm having to do some engine work that'll alter the displacement, compression ratio, throttle body and injector sizes and very possibly a small amont of headwork inc' 2.12" intake valves etc pending funds, hopefully pretty soon.
I fitted a Tmax to my Dyna about 6 or 7 yrs ago, i got it at areally good price from Fuel Moto and found it fairly easy to use or at least the basics of it especially running the Automap from a fairly close base map out of only about 300 maps on their software are listed available and it was almost stock apart from R n R Cycles deeper air cleaner and Rhineheart Crossbacks, true duals so the closest base map they have was enough.
But when ive completed said work, there's not one that matches up anywhere close. i've managed the whole bike all myself since i bought in 2017. Although i need to track a guy down about 50/60 miles from me to see if he's conversant with Tmax, i think his names Russ and he's meant to be a genius at mapping Harleys.
My main point and for anyone else who've read this far, is because of all the Tmax installs and dyno tuned maps they've done over several yrs now, they've kept them all in their own documented library/PC so should you require a closer or even spot on dynoed base map to suit yours, he'll Email the map io you and i should imagine  a modest price and to me Chris sounds an even better bet than the actual Tmax Support your'e able to contact.
Well when i'm nearly there getting all the parts and all the work nrly finished, i'm definately gonna contact Chris with my brief spec list and see what they come back with, i can't wait to get it all done and up n running with new almost custom base map and a run in of 500 miles and then see what WOT does!?
I hope to all, this info which is up to date may help some of you maybe, if you didn't know any of it,
cheers
Andy,
