EARLY WARNING SIGNS OF OCD
« on: March 11, 2007, 10:44:06 PM »

My grandaughter is showing early signs of being fascinated with chrome.  Here she is sitting on my V-Rod with my son.  She's only five months old.  Are any of you aware of any infant intervention for early warning signs of OCD?

Perhaps it's early OCD. Awful early to tell. Very soon it will become an attraction to gold, silver and diamonds.  :)

OMG, my parents showed me a very similar picture of me when I was very young as I was also fascinated with Chrome

The best thing you can do is to start now....putting $300.00 a month in a savings account now for you granddaughter

I figure by the time she is 18 a new CVO will be around $80 grand or so, you better hope for decent interest and you will have enough for her

Cute Pic, thanks for sharing

You might try giving her one of those power wheels motorcyles as a substitue.  I gave my daughter one for Christmas (she's 3), the plastic chrome seemed to treat the OCD symptons.

This is not a cure, only a treatment.  Kind of like using a generic instead of the brand name drug.

By the way, you have a beautful grandaughter, I am sure she is a blessing to your entire family.

Later,

The only prevention I am aware of is total abstenance.  It appears you and your son have already broken that rule.

It's like giving them ice cream, once you do it's all down hill from there.  This has been true since motorcycles were invented and they weren't even all chromed up originally.  Must be the gas and oil fumes associated with them.

I was watching the Daytona 200 with her and she seems to like fast bikes too.  That will be fine until some 18 year old guys shows up to take her for a ride on a crotch rocket.

Last Saturday was my daughter, Erin's, 7th birthday.  This is (part of) what she got and she was luvin' every minute of it  :bananarock: :huepfenjump3: :2vrolijk_21:  She wore the shirt 3 days in a row!  In the lower left it says, "Girls Rule the Road!"  :huepfenlol2:

I've found a department at the dealership that I had never visited before our grandaughter was born.  My wife and I did some shopping over the weekend.  My guess is that grandparents buy the majority of the clothing available for infants and children.

I have to admit I'm a little envious of you PHASE. Being a grand dad and having a chance to spoil her looks like a lot of fun. Hopefully, my day will come.

Thanks Travis.  That's my niece.  She is a doll.  She likes to ride pillion on the red bike too.  Almost too much!
