Nige,

That won't be hard from my end.  My local dealership has Never, Ever, Ever, given away anything for free.  They consider 10% off to be "clearance."  And now that they have remodeled and doubled their size, I expect them to start charging me a "cover charge" just to come in the building.

Later,
Ghost

Which raises the question "Would you pay a cover charge for the "privilege" of being allowed to shop at a hd dealership? I get the feeling that some of us have "it" so bad that we might well do so.  ;D

I think I have paid my cover charge in spades (and then some) over the years.

Come to think of it I have had a few good deals over the years. I bought the Pillow Look Road King Seat last year for about $80.00 brand new. I bought it "just in case" and now I have just the bike for it to go on.

Happy days.

Hey Ghost - don't go bustin your bones about what I'm saying here. Just remember that I have had to pay nearly $40.000 for my CACO SERK. That should sweeten your medicine a little !

 ;)

You got me there.   :2vrolijk_21:

Just out of curiosity, could you buy a new bike here in the states and have it shipped over there, or are you legally/enviromentally required to buy locally?  I just wonder which would be cheaper in the end.

We would get stung for import duty on the bike (about 12.5%) and then our dreaded VAT at around 17.5%. So on a $30,000 bike we would have to find an extra $10,000 to ship it in. So there you have the extra.

Plus I don't think that HD would honour the War****y !

Some you win some you lose.

a good deal is a state of mind, and enough cash will cure anything in the ocd catergory.

Very true TN, but it's always nice when you get a bargain.
