I guess that means heated grips are out of the question.  Seriously though that is good to know that with the wife (liner, socks&glove liners) and I(liner) plugged in and Her maxed out on the thermosat that we our taxing the system to its limit.

Thanks again for all the info!!![smiley=beerchug.gif]
So last nite on the way home from work I stopped at the BMW shop and bought the Gerbing jacket and pant liners and a dual thermastat. Then last night went out for a ride to try them out (left my house around 8pm @50 degrees) my short cruise turned into an 80 mile excursion, needless to say these things are GREAT!!! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
Now the saleman at the dealer talked me out of the socks and gloves but I am going back tonight to get them. [smiley=wink3.gif]

I have found that with the heated gloves, I don't need heated grips. I think some people might though. For me, this was a good discovery due to the amperage limitations on the Harley.

I'm curious why he would talk you out of the sox and gloves?  What was his comments on that?

He just told me that most riders were warm enough with just the jacket and pant liner, and I should use them before investing another $200 in socks and gloves. He also told me that he had large quanities of both if I changed my mind. He was really just trying to be helpful. Well I used them and wanted warmer hands after riding, my feet weren't an issue but I am sure they will be by December [smiley=1syellow1.gif]

An alternative to the gloves are the glove liners they work nice and are comsiderable less than the gloves and should fit inside the gloves you are wearing now.  The wife wears hers inside out to keep the back of her hands warm says her palms dont get cold.  Hope this helps.

They are a gerbing product places that carry gerbing should be able to get them for you.  If not send me a Pm and will check the catalog.  If all, else fails gerbing is not far from my house.
