NEW LOVE ???
« on: November 06, 2004, 01:27:23 AM »

If any of you have visited your local HD dealer you have probably checked out the "new" models for 05' . They , for the most part , are re packaged discontinued models . One example is the springer heritage w/ no chrome , no bags , no lites , Yuckkkk !!![smiley=nervous.gif] !!! The flstn is also a re hash of a 10 year old model , or so I thought . When I sat down on this " new " model I didn't want to get off . Its that damn comfortable !!! Now I'm 5'9" and weigh about 200 on a good day so you all may not agree with me , but I think its the most comfortable bike they have in the lineup !!! Hell , before I realized it 20 minutes had passed just sitting on it . Well , that day it was raining so there was no chance to take her for a ride but this past week I went over to take one for a spin and boy oh boy

The FLSTN must have the same effect on a lot of people.  My wife stopped by the local Harley shop to visit my son (he's in sales there with an average of 28 scooters per month), saw the bike, took a ten minute ride and called to tell me her '04 Heritage Softail was being replaced.  I've not ridden one, but everyone is raving about the comfort issue.

Although I'm a springer fan for more riding years than I'd admit to, I'm not all that impressed with the Heritage either.  Must need to look again as the entire allocation for the year is pre-sold at the same shop.   Hmmmm!
