My dealer that sold me my Heritage got me one.  They are a high volume dealer that utilizes tons of SERTers a year, so they may be a bit higher on the priority list, is what I am guessing. 

One thing I found out is that the cables are no longer included with the purchase.    Guess I'll have to pony up some more bread for the rest.

Unless you are going to be making changes (maps) to your ECM yourself don't worry about the cables. If the dealer or "Indy's" are doing the changes/Dyno's they will have the cables. Even if you are going to be doing the changes yourself I'm pretty sure you could borrow some cables to do this. The main thing that "marries" to your ECM is the "interface" the cables can be used on multiple units.

My understanding is they stopped shipping the SERT with the cables when they came out with the "F" model...the one that I have.  I had to pay $29.95 extra for the cables.   Glad you were able to find one.   I called my dealer and talked to the tech that dyno'd my bike.  Asked him if I needed to bring the ride down to have my custom map put back in with the new software because I had heard that the new version addresses the ACRs, and he said no, I was good to go and no need to upgrade to the "G" model.   That was good news, I think.

No need to worry about me doing any of this stuff.  The big man did not bless me with any mechanical abilities, other than the most basic of tasks.  Good to know I can save a little money with  not having to buy the cables.  Thanks for the info.

I have not got a clear answer on what exactly changed, but I called several folks and they all said that the G code was the one that was the most recent.  I'll ask around on what the main difference was.  I read some of the stuff here, but I guess I am a slow study.

I'm not clear either.  I guess as long as the bike is working properly, I won't worry about it.

Is there a problem with members finding SERT's? (We are talking about the screamin eagle race tuner aren't we?) When I bought mine dealer said they had ten or so in stock. I checked mine after reading the post and mine does end in "G". If someone really needs one send my a pm and I will be glad to check and see if they have any more. Dealer sales for msrp but they do give me a 10% discount plus sales tax.
