Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I saw something on American Thunder last night concerning a way to monitor the head temps on our V-Twins. Has anybody heard or tried the Marlin Corporation Head Temperature Gauge?

Sounds like a good idea, but do they have a guage that goes to 450? That's whats needed for the rear cylinder.

I don't wish to sound like a "wet blanket"(although this engine could use one),but monitoring head temps will not be the answer. Read my earlier post about start and stops during a construction stop. My whole engine fried. And it wasn't slow about it either. Head temp monitoring could give an advance warning, but it doesn't stop it from getting it hot.  JMHHO.

I had the TC88 out for a run yesterday: rear head metal temp 380 degrees, oil @ 240...Sounds familiar.
The lil fella has a big sukka, Rinehart 2-1 and a canned download as the race fuler just gave error codes...
