Thanks for the report, Chip. Does Nancy's seem to be about where it was before they did the 'lowered' version? Someone earlier had indicated that they thought the bike sat the same until you got on it and then is when you noticed the diff.......due to not compressing as much from the rider's weight. Does it raise the front end or just restrict the compression? :-\thanks, spyder
Spydy...not meaning to answer for Chip here, but the answer is no, it does not change the actual height of the static suspension, unweighted. But weighted, the forks simply do not compress like they did before, with just the weight of the bike. The ride is actually MUCH more supple than stock, but in no way stiff. It just simply responds to everything on the road surface the way it should, giving better, more predictable control over the bike. Just the fact that the front end doesn't take a nose dive when you get on the front brakes is worth it, IMO. It is so good, that the Vrod felt sloppy after I had the SEUC done, so I had to get it done as well. Even with the rake on the front end of the rod, with more "sticktion", the difference in that bike now is amazing.
With the mods I've done to my Ultra...Corbin seat (no sag), 18" front wheel with Metz 70 series tire, my bike, with the shocks fully extended, is probably 1/2 to 1" "taller", but with the Legends dropped all the way down, no problem with good foot contact when walking the scoot around. I think we're about the same, with a 29" inseam.
I will never own another bike without the Traxxion, unless it is not possible to fit the cartridges. From simply a safety standpoint, it's money well spent, IMO.
