2J, that would be some beautiful rides all at once, but Terry if he got to "REDNECK RIVERIA" he might never leave since it is springbreak!!! :drink: :drink:

John...he might not ever leave the Flora-Bama once he got started there.  At least they got the plumbing working again so there's no more porta-potties.  Ivan The Terrible did a number on the FB...

A road trip, with the added bonus of getting new front suspension, is a good thing no matter the route.

When are you going up to have yours done?

Terry,
Had some custom lowers done for front, was waiting until they were done, but it may be a couple of month, so may go ahead up at end of this month to get done ( not good at waiting once mind made up). I know the smart thing would be to wait, but no one ever accused me of being a rocket scientist. PS Had the right rear Legend go out this weekend, now I know what it feels like to ride a Hardtail!! Called legend to send for fix this week, hope to have back on next, and then trip to ATL, john

John...I'd be tempted too, but it'd be best to wait.  After you see how much pain they take to get the things installed precisely, you won't want to take them apart again, I don't think.

What happened on the Legend?  A boot?  Let me know the cause, if known.

But Howie, you are failing to consider the emotional (and quite possibly physical)  turmoil that my girlfriends would be forced to endure if I was gone for such an extended period of time. On the other hand as to how your wife would feel about you being gone for such a time period, well I will leave that up to the consensus of my fellow CVO forum members. JJ

Hey jj, on your end, don't you know that absense makes the heart grow fonder (and other things too)! On my end, she's coming with me! But we all have our crosses to bear, I guess! ;) Hoist! 8)

Actually you are lucky, as you probably know,  to have someone that apparently loves to ride. I mentioned a 5 hour ride to my girlfriend the other day and she was not happy. Sure sorry to see her have to go.

Yes, it'd definitely be silly to ride 700-800 miles just to avoid changing fork oil.  Can't imagine such a thing myself.  They did speak of having a very few "trained" installers in the field.  No discussion of geographies came up though.  Give 'em a call to see if you're lucky enough to have someone close.

For me the 700 mies would be close to a one way trip , so glad to see that you agree. Will try and call them about the field guys later this week. Oh and how far was it that you rode to have this done?  ;D
Between you and Hoist I may be about to head out on a road trip - SERK style.

Darn  it, now why didn't I think of that? That would mean that while I was speeding down the road with that hot thunderbolt between my legs (the Black Ice SERK, of course) that maybe they would be experiencing something similar. No way......... they would never do that. But what if.....  Guess I'll have to get a side car and maybe one of those  trailers so "everyone" can go to Atlanta.  This site gets more expensive every day. Oh and thanks hogbreath for being so concerned. I know you had my best interests at heart when you decided that I really didn't need to sleep tonight. Thanks bro, JJ.  ;D  ;D

That one is easy.  2 1/2 hours.  Now Bill, on the other hand, that boy is ridin' a bit for his steak.

Actually, Don accomplished two things by riding to Traxxion...on the way South, he stopped off and made some more room for the boys :bananarock: :orange: :orange:

Oh yeah, a tiny detour to Diamond Gusset Jeans.  Extra material where it matters.  Already tossed most of the old jeans.  The boys are happy campers and they loved the rest of the ride  :bananarock: .
