2012 CVO Road Glide no brake lights
« on: September 08, 2020, 06:46:39 AM »

Last night I noticed on my way home that I had no brake lights. Running lights and turn signals work just fine. I haven’t had a chance to dig into the issue yet, hopefully this evening. Has anyone had this issue before?

Have you checked it with both the front and rear brake levers?

If it's an electric not functioning always check the fuse panel first.  Easiest and cheapest first; every time.  Even before asking the drunken brother in law that used to work in a different kind of shop.  Just check the fuses.

However.... for brake lights..

If it doesn't work off only front or rear brake application suspect the front or rear brake light switch.  If it doesn't work at all suspect the fuse.

It was just as simple as the fuse being blown. Thanks gentlemen I was reading to far into it being more than it was. Thanks again everyone for your input!

but now, keep your eye on it.  if it keeps blowing fuses, then you've got some more in depth trouble shooting aread of you.

Did you ever have this problem occur again after you replaced your blown fuse?
