Sorry guys, I didn't read the posts before I wrote my reply.  Oops!   :-[

Brian, we'll do our best to talk the owner at Dreams into serving Negra Modela before you come to visit.   :2vrolijk_21:

donkey pi$$  ;D  (notice mine is light)   ;)     Hey, they don't have Negra Modela at Dreams; however, we did serve Negra Modela Friday night at home...only the best for our guests!   :)   I've become hooked on Modela, but will settle for Corona or Bud Light.   :drink:
Good job Diva. :2vrolijk_21: At least you drank domestic when they didn't have Modelo's. ;)

Couldn't describe it any better than that Roger.  I got to be a real vagabond this trip too.

Got home late this afternoon and in time for a hot date with a four year old and a carnival.  But in the days before I'd left here last Wednesday and made the 770 miles or so to Chief and Pinkie's who were kind enough to put me up Wednesday and Thursday.  Thursday evening there was dinner with V-Girl, my hosts and their friends Dave and Katie.

Then caught up with TC on Friday.  Made the short ride back to Birmingham with him and stayed with he and Diva (and the dogs and the bird) that night.  We went riding again Saturday morning and out to a great place called 29 Dreams for lunch.  Left there early afternoon and they rode with me another couple hours as I headed toward Memphis.

Saturday evening pulled in to JR's outside Memphis where once again was treated to the hospitality of another friends home and hearth.  JR and MJ and Jerry and another couple whom I didn't know all took me down on Beale St in Memphis Saturday night.  We sat and ate and talked for quite awhile then wandered the crowd for awhile.  JR and I ended up leaving BB King's place a little after 1:00 and finally headed back to his place.

Then loaded up this morning and finally headed on home.  Was really a great little 5 days trip.  Got some work done to the bike.  Got to ride with friends.  Got to see even more friends.  To to ride a new SEUC, a hopped up Goldwing, a SE V-Rod and got to put about 2500 miles on my own bike too.  Throw in some good food along the way and it's hard to top a long weekend like this one.

I know JR took some Saturday evening.  Even though I had my camera with me I never used it this trip.  The only two pictures I remember taking the entire time were one each of TC and I standing with the bikes in front of Traxxion Dynamics.  We were going to title them "Guinea Pig 01" and "Guinea Pig 02."

Done purely as an excuse to not have to change my own fork oil this was a great little trip.  I can't think everyone enough for thier kindness, friendship and hospitality.  I told TC I just couldn't tell him how fast I'd run up his V-Rod.  But in the 20 minutes or so I'd gotten to play on Traxxion Dynamic's "loaner" tricked out Goldwing the day before it got to see 110 miles an hour.  The red bike saw the high side of that briefly a time or two on the trip east.  But TC's V-Rod was never spooled up over a sedate and calm 35 miles per hour.  Honest........ ::)

Knowing where you were, and the line of sight you had, probably not much over 120 as you probably just got going well in 5th gear before you had to shut down.  It's built for speed, so whatever you did is cool with me...it's just hard not to on a bike that doesn't really start running well until it's above 4500RPM, then just pulls and pulls and pulls... :2vrolijk_21:

But I know damn well it was no sedate 35mph, unless you stayed in first gear and 1/10 TP ;)

Great pics of friends drinking.  ;D Just so ya know Modela, Dos Equis XX and Corona are all made by Cereveria Modela SA (Mexico). Same piss water in all those imports. Cheers!

Thanks for the info!   :2vrolijk_21:    Now I won't be so disappointed when they don't serve Modela.   :)
We did, however, make a request to the owner of our favorite biker watering hole to start serving Modela, and he immediately wrote it down on his next order.   :2vrolijk_21:   How's that for service.   :drink:

Well TC, since you're so good about it......  ::)

I know my bike saw the 120 range at least once.  That Goldwing of TD's visited 110 in a much quicker hurry than expected it to (damn it handled nice).  And yours was a bit closer to mine than the Wing, but still somewhere in between.  One thing for sure though.  Yours got there a heluva lot faster than either of the others did though; zooooooommmmmmmm.  It had plenty more in it too.  But I ran out of road.....

To give a beginning picture to this story here are the Traxxion Dynamics guinea pigs.
