Regulator Recall

I received my official letter today on the recall for the voltage regulator. Called my service manager, said it would have to be ordered because us CVO owners were special. Doesn't that give you the warm and fuzzies !

Yep, the cheap friggin MoCo only ships the std. regulators for the recalls and the OCD version has to be ordered for the SE bikes.  Nice system.........Not!

 I'm also waiting for the "ordered" ones to come in.  The standard non-chrome came into the dealership, but waiting on mine.  You would think they would take care of the CVO owners first??? :nixweiss:

Not sure I would expect to be taken care of ahead of anyone else, but at least treating me equally would be appreciated. 

If I had other than a CVO I would already have the regulator installed and been down the road.

Exactly!!! It's not like they don't have a record of how many CVO's the dealer sold. If they just sent a third of what he sold in chrome would be nice and the right thing to do. This would at least allow some of the CVO's to get in and taken care of.

Hey electraglideclyde. You and I are in the same boat.I was at granite mountain HD on monday and they told me the same thing. They do however have 8 standard (not chrome) regulators in stock.

Well, at least they're consistant.  No figuring how the MoCo could leave out the group that paid the most for their machines, just leave us all hangin' in the wind like we wouldn't want the recall...... :zwtf:

Has anyone one had theres inspected.  I hear it's dependant on the part # on the regulator and the build date of the bike.  Not all get replaced.
