Sorry for the long hiatus....

In the middle of last year I was involved in a wreck with another bike. Minor damage, but damage just the same.

Then in November I throw my back out again trying to be a young man and still carry heavy stuff...

Just got the MRI on Sunday... Still dealing with pain issues and really HATE pain meds after what I went through the last time.

When I first re-injured myself the pain was so intense that I thought the original fusion at L4-L5 had failed.

Waiting for Doc to tell me what the next step is.

In the meantime, my sidecar has been sitting at my buddies shop, in no rush since I cant ride.

Then I saw last years ad, and some subsequent marketing info for the 2023 Electra Glide Highway King. (And Optional Sidecar from Champion)

Two colors.. HI FI Orange/black and HI FI Magenta (dark pink) / black

My friend just went on a trip to Alaska, and sent me pics of the Magenta one there. $65k!

I find a low mile version at California HD.... $83K... damn they must have some good weed in Cali!

So I did the rounds, internet search, and lo and behold I find one on EBay... just under 1300 miles.

Now, to get it from FL to HI

I was figuring about $2.5k... 900 across the water and 1400 across the states.

What I wasnt counting on, was the fact that motorcycles need to be crated or palleted to ship to Hawaii! That almost doubles the shipping cost!

Yep... $1100 from FL to CA
         $3000 to crate it and drop it off at the shipper (LAX)
         $1300 to get it from LAX to HNL

It landed at HNL last Monday

Picked it up and dropped it off at my shop Wednesday

Uncrated it Thursday afternoon

Inspected and Registered Friday.

It has to get a final inspection (It was failed for registration) to get the actual stickers and final paperwork.

Hopefully I can get away today and take care of this.
