My battery lasted 5 years. Was an HD battery

I hade no issues with it untill i was on a 4 day trip. The dayi as heading home, that morning it wouldn't crank over.

I got a jump start all was fine charging was good.

I stopped for gas it fired up no problem.

The third fill up it wouldn't crank over again

I called my breakdown service.  He checked the battery,  it showed 2.9 v but 12 CCA

So i got two start ups  from when it first died and  those two took the last of the remaining CCAs

I replaced it with this battery,.....Motobatt MHTX30 Hybrid Lithium Battery YIX30 66010-97 66000212A.  650 CCA

I've his as well (from Europe) YUASA GYZ32HL.

That specs chart and post design looks the same as the Interstate.  But I found out it's on back order with no delivery date.

Hello Longlast, what are your experiences with the hybrid battery? How does it start? Does it discharge during extended periods without charging? Our touring bikes tend to draw power when not in use...

I know nothing about hybrid batteries. As far as bikes having a constant draw, that along with non use are the reasons they make battery tenders.
