Adjusting Pushrods
« on: May 01, 2025, 05:08:46 PM »

I have a S&S V124 in my King. Bike has never been raced, Riden daily has 55k miles. It had been sitting up for several years due to health issues.
It had a ticking noise on the rear exhaust I believe.
I installed new S&S Lifters. I adjusted them correctly. I had the rear tappets on Overlap and the adjusted the Front pushrods  and they did turn freely after waiting 15 minutes between  each.
Then I turned motor so the Front tappets are in Overlap then adjusted one pushrod at a time and waited 15 minutes between them. They too then turned freely but not excessively loose.
I can't remember if they were noisy. I had been Riding a 80" EVO with a bolt in cam for a few years.
