Sold my SERG, it had many fun miles on it. I was having some work done at the house and one of the contractors saw my bikes and was telling me how he really wanted another bike, but funds were low and he had sold a Harley he had for a longtime to fund a hockey camp for his son. The Roadglide was in above average condition and had a ton of parts and accessories from 25 years of ownership.
At almost 73 my days of long trips are behind me, so the SERG is sitting a lot, and the other bikes get used more, I just finished putting together a 16 heritage Softail, dual fishtails, 21” 60 spoke in the front, more chrome than is needed, bars, seat, and so on. I have an evo softail that is a foot clutch, tank shift bike and ‘95 wide glide.
The young guy that bought the bike said he could afford $4500 , after some discussion and letting him know that I thought it may need a new compensator sprocket… I told him that $4000 would be fine, it had a brand new fuel pump/ internal hoses, 500 miles on Dunlop AE’s .. he got 3 seats, backrest, original tourpak plus a king tourpak.. all the original vhs tapes, cover.. a couple of windshields a pair of mufflers… everything I had for the bike… I think he got a smoking deal, and I felt great about it. It was nice to pass it on to somebody that appreciates what he got
