I am good with tech and have figured most of it out but can figure out a few things that I know here I can get answers.
1. any way to get speed limit on road I am traveling on to display?
2. I have entered my phone is for wifi (iPhone 16 pro) and if I am home and my phone is on wifi works great, when I am nor I can't get the wifi to work on bike trying to use my phone with hotspot turned on and password in
3. when on a route with multiple waypoints, how do you skip next waypoint?
4. when I have already selected ted a route, how do I enter a waypoint that is not a favorite? I realize if its a favorite I can select it

1.  I have not figured out a way to get the road's speed limit displayed.  It would be nice if it could be done.

2.   The WIFI has been frustrating to me.  Bike connects by its self to home WIFI when I pull in to garage.  I struggle to get the bike to connect to the iPhone 16 Hot spot.   Then again I've had days where it was a struggle to get CarPlay to connect.

I have not tried to skip a way-point or to add one to the route.  In have used routes I have built.  I use a lots of way-points so it goes the way I want to go.

Agreed, Dave.  CarPlay can be frustrating.  It will work just fine, and then you shut-down at a stop and struggle to get it to reconnect properly.  SkyLineOS in general can be frustrating at times. 🤪

Like Dave, I’ve not been able to get the HD system to display the local speed limit - but when CarPlay is used, I& I need navigation I use Google Maps and it will display the speed limit.

I don't have a bike with the Skyline OS but a buddy just bought one and he too has struggled to figure things out.  We were just on a HOG Riding Rally and there were two 'techies' from Harley there to answer questions - well basically they just took notes of complaints to pass on.  BUT they both did say there is NO provision to skip a waypoint on the onboard gps.  Their excuse / explanation is that H-D can do nothing about this other than advise /work with the vendor to correct this.  IMO this makes the onboard gps useless for most purposes.

I reached out to Law Abiding Biker after buying his tutorial video which was excellent. He answered right away and basically told me that all of my questions can’t be done on this system. Can’t display speed limit, can’t skip a waypoint, can’t use a hot spot if you are using Apple Play and can’t add a waypoint that is not in your favorites once you are on a route. I do love the Skyline OS and think Harley did a great job with it but hope they do add some of these as they do updates!

All an all I do like the Skyline OS and its display.  In do not like on its NAV you can not see a turn by turn like you could on the old.  Sometimes it has funny routing.  I Do like I can see engine temperature.

So I guess that's my problem with WIFI, as I run CarPlay for my music or SirusXM

I think adding a waypoint that isn’t in your favorites is disabled while bike is in motion.

I have found that while running carplay you can connect to Wifi but have to do it manually through settings. If your hotspot isn’t listed…I turn wifi hotspot off the turn it on and it will show up and connect.

Weather doesn’t work while in motion.
Will automatically skip waypoints.

…..also your phone hotspot has to be set to broadcast in 5G

FLSTFI Dave:  could you share how to use SiriusXM through Apple CarPlay with me?  I’ve not tried that, yet. I assume I have to be in a location with cell phone service (I lose service in the mountains often)… Thanks, Bubba

Hey Bubba,

If you have a SiriusXM app on your phone and if you have cell service than just launch the app from the carplay home page and select you station.

Another thing you need to do from the music setup menu be sure to select carplay….this the place you can select AM, FM…..etc

or

if your phone is connected via bluetooth and you have enabled media option.  Select bluetooth as you music setup option, than just launch SiriusXM through you phone and select station   


and I think if your phone is connected via usb….you can select usb option as your music setup option and launch SiriusXM through you phone and select station

On Spotify you can download playlists and their version of channels. I see on the Sirius app it shows downloads but having trouble figuring out how to download? Can you download channels?

didn’t know you could download for off line listening

looks like you download from the search menu and from there you choose music or podcasts.

haven’t done it yet.

I have the SiriusXm app on my phone.  You have to have cell service.  So it doesn't work real well in mountains of east TN.  On my trip to Spokane WA and back it worked great once I hit I-40 all the way out and back.  In CarPlay just select the Sirius Xm app and the station you want
