Using Premium gas with a shared hose usually means getting a certain amount of base gasoline.  The non-ethanol has a dedicated hose.  I'm thinking my best option for my CVO Softail v-twin 110 is to use non-ethanol with Lucas octane booster.  This should get me close to a pure 93 octane and no ethanol to gum things up.  I'm questioning though whether or not the booster itself is going to cause early plug fowling or other build up in my engine.  Can anyone enlighten me?  Thanks

During riding season, I don’t worry about ethanol vs. non ethanol, as it doesn’t sit in there long enough to cause problems.  When winterizing I use a fuel treatment designed to offset the harmful effects of ethanol and fill the tank all the way up.  Never had an issue.  For whatever reason ethanol seems to be more harmful to small carbureted engines (lawn mowers, pressure washers).

In my unscientific and old man opinion, 90 pruf is plenty in your motor unless you have increased it's compression.  I run 89 blend in the winter. 93 blend the rest of the year. but I need gas every three or four days, ride all the time. I use some SeaFoam around oil change time, and put in an ounce of sta-bil marine sometimes.
Now, where did i put that tank of nitrogen...

I run 93 all the time unless out west, then I run highest available.  Many times my 93 is ethanol free as its readily available around my house.  Live on the lake.  Bikes don't sit long enough to need a stabilizer.
