Redline 20w-60
« on: January 02, 2026, 09:50:35 AM »

Has anyone used the redline 20w-60 for their engine oil? I just saw it online and was wondering how that would be in my 2007 FLHTCUSE2. It’s a 110” with a little motor work by the previous owner. Gear drive tr-650 tman cams with a Screamin Eagle crank.

That's all I use, I buy the case (kit) from revzilla but a local shop has said they will pull in for stock for me in the future.  Convenient with everything for all 3 holes and you end up with lots of extra hats, funnels, fuel treatment and stickers.  The 60 weight in my opinion and HD's (above 80°) is best. 120°+ in the southwest is hard on oil in an air cooled motor.  The trans fuild is their (Redline) pink cush type which in my bike has given me some of the smoothest shifts and neutual to first engagements.  After a  spirited ride I would smell oil (but never see) on HD 20/50, since switching long ago never smelled oil again.

I have been using 10w60 Liqui Moly for over 15 years and swear by it. As soon as I changed, I could notice a difference in the valve noise. Have heard great things about Redline and Amsoil but just never saw a reason to change.

I have been using Redline 20w-60 in my Harleys for years now.

In western Australia (where it's summer right now) we get warm temperatures.

27C this morning at 7.30am at the start of our Saturday Harley ride, and 35C on the 1pm home run.

My 2008 FXSTSSE2 CVO 110" Springer uses very little oil.

Redline Heavy shockproof (red/pink) in the 6 speed trans.

Redline MTL gear in the primary drive.

These 3 work for me.

Which version of Liqui moly are you using?? I see street, Synthoil Race Tech, and Street Race MotorBike?
