Hello, fellow CVO'ers:
I have a 2019 FLHTKSE, magnetic grey fade, with the "all black" package, which is a blessing after my 2018 Street Glide with tons of chrome. I hit a patch of black ice on a 40 degree morning not too long ago (dropped into freezing overnight), and thankfully, the crash bars on the back bags seemed to take the brunt of the damage (no magnetic grey painted surfaces). Getting under the bike, Ive found dime-sized scratched metal on the primary cover, floor board attachment brackets (the boards flipped up), and the back crash bar.
Know ing how much it costs to replace those parts, is there an easy method to get some new paint on the and prevent rust-any recommendations based on past experience? All input welcomed!
