Back in September, I went down to Motown Harley in Taylor MI and rode tested a 2025 Tri Glide. Not that crazy about the Tri Glide, but thought I could get used to it. I was only there for the test ride as I live 2.5 hours north of them.
After the sales manage tried everything in the book to sell me a '25, I held my guns and walked away. They kept after me via text and e-mails. I will say they have their chit together on following up with potential customers.
I was introduced to the GM of my local dealer, Hole Shot Harley 20 miles from home. We hit it off right away. He said that if I wanted a '25, he would beat anyone's pricing by a far margin, and I believe him. But, I wanted to take my chances on a '26 and "HOPING" that they would make some changes and even possibly have a CVO trike in '26. To my wonderment, they did both, redesigned the trike AND came out with the CVO!!!!
He's discounting me off of MSRP and treating me VERY good all around... He placed my order on 2-2-26 when the actual ordering opened up. I had a deposit since September on it.
Today we drove back down to Motown Harley to see their Tri-Tone CVO they just got in. I had told the salesman back in December that I had placed an order with my local dealership and thanked him for all his following up. Talked with him yesterday and asked if it would be okay to come down and look at theirs and he said yes. We got there this afternoon and it was gone, SOLD. But, it was still in the warehouse and we were able to look at it. It is beautiful for sur!!! Will try to get some CVO Street Glide ST bars on order for it soon.
The young lady that took Linda and I out to the warehouse brought us back to the sales room and our salesman was now available. He wanted to try to sell me a CVO trike. I told him the deal I was getting from my dealership and he said, what if we could do a better price? I highly doubted that though. He said he had to tell his boss that I was not interested and I believe he told his boss my price from Hole Shot. He came back and shook my hand and said that it was nice to know me. I asked about his "deal" and he said his boss told him $69.999.00, non-negotiable!
They sold their first Tri-Tone and one Costal Blue already. I can't believe they're asking over $10k "market adjustment" today.
I hope they have rich people in Detroit area willing to pay WAY over MSRP for CVO's.
Are any of you guys getting quotes over MSRP?
I should know soon about my estimated delivery date and VIN.
How many of you guys are going to splurge on a new CVO Trike?
Thanks, Dan
