This country is becoming a bunch of pansies. Minority rules all of a sudden (Not racially - Numerically). Atheists make up less than 5% of the country yet we end up with a supreme court case about God in the pledge of alleigence. Gays and Lesbians are very small minority groups, but ya wouldnt know that looking at mainstream tv, and yet they are forcing the rest of americans to change the definition of marriage (personally do whatever ya like, I have no problem with civil unions, but marraige is what it is - an often failed union between a man and woman). Imus screwed up, and apologized. "Rev" Al & Jessie both have "screwed up" in the past and apologized and its all good - but Imus - still bad....I remember Prez. Clinton had an indescretion and sought forgiveness - with "Rev" Jessie's help - and rightfully he kept his job. Imus should have been suspended, but for Al to demand his firing - threatening NBC he would protest and boycott all NBC sponsors and CBS - that is some self rightous BS. Truth be told amongst the black community the "Rev's" represent a very very small minority, but you wouldn't know it from the news media tour Rev Al was on last week. On that note also, lets stop all the rap says bad stuff too BS, who cares - it's just music with a relativley small audience - let them say their crap - just makes them look like the posers they are - a lady knows a real man wouldn't talk like that, and the kids will learn that too. Imus is Imus, raises tons of cash for lots of kids, a good guy with a mean ole man sense of humor. He's rude and he was wrong, and he apologized - to the girls - that should be the end of it, unless the market (his audience) tosses him out - thats not what happend here - Rev Al got him tossed...
Should be interesting, this week Hillary was to visit with the Rutgers girls and Oprah was going to help "start the healing process" .......
Yesterday kinda took the air out of that balloon full of hot air.....
