My NAV system says "cd error replace cd" - my disc 1 is apparently bad.  Is there something I can do to save me the $180 HD wants for the cd set?  Thanks, PJ

Crap  :o !

PJ, just for grins I'd get the dealer to let me stick the disc in another bike there someplace just to make sure before spending almost 2 bills for a darned disc set.  Oy vey!

Don - I'm pretty sure it's the CD because occasionally it will work, then I get the error code. Actually, given the alternative (bad NAV unit) I better be happy.

If it's come and go it might be worth just running a head cleaner through the radio and cleaning the discs.  Might get lucky and six bucks and ten minutes might fix it.

I made copies of the NAV Cd's so I could put the originals away. I used 2 programs from SlySoft.. AnyDVD (removes copy protection) and then CloneCD makes the copy. I did start the system with the original disc, and then use the copies. I did get an error "unable to read CD" one time, but I plled and reinserted the same disc and it's working fine.

My only problem is where I live- If I go East I need CD 1 and if I go West I need CD 2.

I like that.
Keep in mind I use some of the most advanced gps flight management system around and this thing
works good. Lets me keep my head up looking for the bad guys.
