Mine has never fell out. Just got back from 1500 + miles with no problems. Bought my 12v plug at Radio Shack. Has a little green light so I know that it has power.

Mi amigo Rob...would you have the reference number? Does it come to conect directly from the 12v cigarrette lighter to the zumo craddle?

Jorge,
I think this is the one that Rob is speaking of - 12VDC 7.5A Power Plug (I have this one also). You will have to cut your Zumo power cord to desired length and replace the fuse that is in the plug w/the in line fuse that is on the power cord of the Zumo. The one in this lighter is a lot higher amp then the one that is in the Zumo power cord.  With that said if I had known about the power plugs from West Marine [12V Flush Mount Receptacles & Plugs (Plug Only) Sealink 12V Receptacles, Plugs, and Both (Plug Only)] I probably would have gotten one of these instead.

Like Rob I haven't had any problems w/my Radio Shack plug and have been thru some gully washers with it, but I did add some extra protection around the end (heat shrink) to prevent water from running down the wire into the plug (see before and after).

Dang and I thought I got up just to pee. ;D Yes you can Ken. Open up Windows Media Player and look on the top for "Rip", scroll down to format and then you'll see "mp3". Click on that and when you rip the music from your CD it will be in mp3 format.

I see the rip to mp3 option...I guess I'm retarded.  I get an error message. Windows Media Player can not rip one or more tracks from this CD.

Is it a regular music CD? It's not one that someone has already ripped is it? Not sure if any of this will make a difference just trying to figure out what is going on. :confused5:

It's a CD I copied from other CD's. I have already ripped it once...BUT..I think I ripped it as a Ipod compatible...I found those files, deleted them, and tried to re-rip as a MP3

That may be the reason for the error message it's a file format that Media Player isn't recognizing. :nixweiss: Try a regular (store bought) CD and see if that'll work that should at least verify that the program is working correctly.

This on the original CD you were getting the error from? If so then you might have to rip them back to windows format then rip them to MP3. Maybe it's an issue that will not allow it to rip from the format it is in to MP3. :nixweiss:

Hmm, interesting. I've ripped a few of my older CD's to MP3's using the WMP before w/o any problem. :confused5:

Ken there are plenty of MP3 file converter programs available free on the web. Just google "MP3 converter programs" and a bunch will show up. I've used Roxio and several others that have worked great. :2vrolijk_21:
