Hoist, didn't you mention using spark plugs, in your youth? Add them to your HP and traxxion= a great show. How much for a ticket? I want front row seats. Of course my SERK wouldn't hang, I might have to make a deal with Chip for this one.

Anytime you need the Frontier just let me know.
We didn't have time when Hoist was here but I was wanting to break out the 50cc scooters and race Hoist.
I have seen him ride, thought we could start with something he could handle.
Might be a stretch but you gotta start somewhere!

You might have to adjust the rev limiter, so he doesn't hurt himself.  :huepfenlol2:

I got up early this morning and went to the local coffee shop/gas station where the locals hang out. There's an elederly gentleman who's known for being.......tight....stingy, thrifty. I've been trying to talk him into riding on the back of my Jester. This morning I finally offered him $100 to ride behind me. He took me up on it. After a few miles of WFO he was begging to get off. I charged him $150 to get off.

I was wondering about what my retirement career should be - it's a few years away.  Bikes rides KY style  hmmmmmm - I wonder if I could charge $200 to get off?

It may be better if I didn't post these thoughts at all, but i'm in a mood today, so I'm posting it anyway. If you disagree with my thoughts, go ahead. I won't argue with you.

This is the only message board I've ever bothered to sign up on. At the time it seemed to me like members of this site loved their Harley's and tweeking their performance. I've made some really close friends from this site and will continue to do so. I've gone to some rallys and met site members and it's been a lot of fun. I've been invited to stay in member's homes when they don't really even know me. I've had site members stay in my home. I've picked up a LOT of valuable information about my HD.

Lately, it amazes me how much negativity about the MOCO and Harley Davidson motorcycles I've seen on this site. If you are so disgusted with HD buy a GoldWing! Will a HD cost more than a GoldWing? Yes, it always has. Will it give more trouble than a GoldWing? Yes, it always has. To me, A BMW or a GW just doesn't have any soul. I'm keeping my HD. I had my head gaskets replaced at no charge to me. I was given a loaner bike while they did the repairs. I dont need to threaten the dealer or get nasty. They are doing the right thing. I'll also do the right thing by them. Doing business with a HD dealer or any other business is a two way street. They'll have my loyalty as long as I'm treated fairly. I won't shop 35 dealers for the rock bottom price but I will make sure they are competitive. In return, I think I'll be treated fairly.

Go ahead and swap to a GoldWing or beemer, but myself, I'm sticking with my HD.

Touche, well said  :2vrolijk_21:

It is a matter of what you like, I never have been treated poorly but I 've been dismissed and am under no influence to use that dealer again.

I would love to know why the company decides on what it decides the way it does.  It is loathed by many because of what they produce.  I have ridden HD since 1981 when I finally could afford one and it was a cranky beeyatch.  What did I learn?  How to fix, repair, modify to my liking and to find indie shops for work out of my league.

I do not own very many T-shirts and attend very few factory sponsored events but I do have 3 HD's.  :nixweiss:

I love my HD's but am not happy with the MoCo these days! I'd never get rid of my bikes. I can make them better instead. I'd never ride anything else. But the days of new HD's are coming to an end for me. So my '85 WG and Cybil will probably go to the grave with me. But I'm way not up to that yet! ;)

Agreed.  Won't own anything other than an HD nor newer than Ol' Thumper.  I'd like to think I'm finished selling bikes too.  Miss 'em too much when they're gone.  So for now, I have the Sporty and the green bike.  That's my stable..................for now.

BTW, we took your better half to a THai restaurant last night. We ordered enough food to choke a bull. The waitress came by with a polaroid camera and snapped our picture. Said she'd never see anyone eat so much. Binx loved the Road Kill sushi.

Sometimes it's the little things that put a smile on your face. Sunday I was getting bored from sitting around watching TV. My lovely better half was cooking and baking, SO I straddled my bike and took a ride. I rode up to Kentucky Dam and down through Land Between the Lakes. There's a twisty little back road I took on the last leg home and got stuck behind two cars. Just as I was ready to pass, a huge tractor pulling a wagon almost as wide as the road pulled in front of the cars. OH great, he's taking the entire road and going all of 10 MPH. He slide over to one side leaving me about 3-4' and you know it, I twisted and passed the line of vehicles. Just as I did, another harley pulled out of a driveway about 1/2 mile ahead of me. Why not. Twist again and I rode his rear fender all the way to the next town. I saw him looking in his mirror like--WHO is this old gray headed idiot? After we eased through that little community he turned off onto another highway, my way home, and I saw him kick it hard. I was 5' behind him when he did and he sped up to 100 MPH. I was still 5' behind him. He slowed for a car, and I zoomed past him at about 110.

I don't normally ride that fast, BUT, I sure was grinning.
