Red Wing Crock
« on: May 12, 2007, 09:05:31 PM »

Custom one gallon salt glaze crock that was made of my bike. I collect the salt glaze line from the early 1900s. They can also do the regular glaze that would show up a lot better but looks too modern for me. I have had Red Wing pottery do some other custom work for with my business logo on them.

Smiler,
Reread the original post. While I like your thinking, I'm not sure one sips whiskey out of a gallon container.  :o

Well my wallet is lightweight when it comes to buying Maker's Mark by the gallon.

But you did give me an idea. I'll bet if you put this crock thingy in the freeze overnight and fill it with beer it'd keep it pretty cool for quite some time. Now we'll have to ask about getting handles on each side

Here's something worth trying - layer the bottom with your favourite fruit, cover with sugar  and the spirit of your choice
another layer of fruit, sugar , spirit and continue to the top.
Coverwith clingfilm and leave for as long as possible (at least 1 week)
I use strawberries and vodka

The drink is like nectar and the fruit great with ice-cream but be carefullit will blow your brains out. :drink:

Is that why they call it the Misty Isles - - - - - cause you're always looking at life through an alcoholic haze ?

And to think I thought the Irish held the patent on all of the world's great ideas (spirtually (sic) thinking)

Well, maybe we're cousins. My aunt recently ponied up a bunch of Benjamins to have the family geneology done and it seems our roots are very firmly planted in Wales.
