You may or may not remember, it was my 50th birthday Thursday, and Mr and Mrs Hoist's anniversary. JesterDecor had a cake made. How could I not post this picture? I don't do birthday parties and cake, BUT, had to make an exception this time.

New Site Member Ed (deepsouthegale) was gracious enough to cook 9 slabs of pork ribs Thursday. Yankess can't get REAL BBQ in NYC because smoke is outlawed. We had ribs, Pork shoulder Ky Style, Brisket, chicken and all the fixins. There was enough cholesterol at my place last Thursday to kill a normal human being. I think the beer offsets the cholesterol though.

Believe it or not, Mr and Mrs Hoist love ribs. The only thing I've ever seen that can eat ribs faster is my coon dog.

Terry's bike (TcNBhm) is the first on one the left. What a great guy! He was able to make it up at the last moment. I had to have him sleep in the camper though. He rode towards Lexington with us Friday but peeled of at some point to head back to Birmingham. Again, another friend for life. he next bike is mine, then Travis's (Ghost Rider), Don's (TwoLane Rider), Ed's (deepsoutheagle) and Hoist's Garbage Barge.

Another. What a seat on Don's bike! Hell, what a bike!

Another. All the men were standing around looking at bikes and drooling. The women said if they took their top off and ran down the driveway, not a one of them would even notice. It's sad what age does to a man.

Starting from the left, Don, Hoist and myself. some locals and Barry on the far right, before the accident. Everyone was trying out everyone else's scooter. Of course when they'd leave the driveway, they'd blast down the road WFO. Not long a city cop drives by very slow. Since we live out of the city limits Hoist asks, think we're the reason he drove by? I Guarantee it! So we decided to ride every bike across town to fuel up. As we get to the only light in town, the city cop drives past the other way and out of sight. Hoist decides to race with a local on a sportster, but in the wrong direction, we had to turn left. According to Don, he went from 0 to 60 and back to 0 in the space of two lanes width, before turning the right direction. Of course by that time, the sportster had already blown him away. Beat by a sportster? You didn't hear it from me.

I do have to say, Hoist can ride. On our ride back from Nashville Wednesday, Ed said everytime he looked in his left mirror, all he could see was Hoist's bald head. So in a curve, he downshifted twice, took off WFO, upsifted at 5500 RPM's and the next straight looked in his mirror, and the bald head was still there. Hoist's front tire was rubbing Eds rear tire all of the 30 miles through the trace, cept the time we stopped for a beernic. That's sorta a picnic cept there's no food, only beer.
