Speaking of heat delfectors check these out
« on: May 19, 2007, 01:36:06 AM »

So I swung by the dealer today and saw a Road Glide with the LARGEST heat delectors I have ever seen. In fact, I would call these HEAT RETAINERS. Check this out. The owner was a really nice guy from Tennesee who rode out to LA. He said they work great with keeping the heat down. I guess they do. He never mentioned anything about his bike going into heat management, even in Nevada and Arizona, so I guess the engine can take it if properly tuned. I'll stick with my RJ Originals thank you.

I know I'm going slightly off thread here but I've seen lots of stuff on this site with some outstanding pieces and others not so, what defines tastefull and what defines tacky.

not sure of the physics of heat deflection or dissipation but can't believe a solid draped material would do anything but retain heat ( sort blanket over hot bed of coals theory) but to each their own! JOHN

Geeees Louiseee !  You can get an insulation blanket for a water heater at Home Depot. It would do about the same job!  :'(

OMG, it looks like the stock seat melted or something similar

To each his own but I wouldn't ride that scooter if it had the melted seat look
