 Saw this bike on ebay a few weeks ago. I could not believe my eyes when I saw what the ad stated the "Dealer" did to mount the bars! The first pic looks good, but if you see what they did to the inner fairing in pic #2 I think your reaction will be the same as mine  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

If that was actually done at a dealership that is one dealership you know to mark off the list of shops to use for potential service.  If they'd do that to get a job done they'd do just about any other dumass thing as well.  Unbelievable if not seen with my own eyes.

 Bike was located in North Providence, Rhode Island, don't know what dealer, if that's who really did it. Just what the ad said.

Yikes, thats bad stuff.

Not only is the dealership wrong for even suggesting that "alteration" (let alone actually doing it), but the owner must have approved that it be done.  Shame, shame, shame.  :confused5:

Above and beyond how ugly it is and how unbelievably stupid was doing it in the first place; what about when it rains?  Or what about washing the bike.  There's bits inside there that are best not made available to direct showers.
