Has anyone called Harley's customer service number and voiced their complaints regarding these failures?  -Or do you just talk to your local shop?  -Just wondering  ???  -Steve

Yeah, a couple of times to Mo-Co.

Is there a different number besides (414) 343-4056 that is on their website?

Chief,
I have the Supervisor's phone number, Bob "Rusty" Dwyer. You will get his voice mail, and he will get back to you eventually.
phone # (414) 343 4121.
You can always place a call to the President,CEO. It's do-able.

Thanks, just might do that. I've been on hold for about 30 minutes now. Two different operators have picked up and dropped me right back in the queue.

I wonder if I chose the right options.

I'm thinking Bob Seger's song "Feel like a number" is appropriate right about now.

:indian_chief:

Oh, crap, it's Radar Love AGAIN!!!!!!

Update: Left VM with Rusty. Will see what happens. Not holding my breath.

Chief,
Been there, done that, got the T-shirt.
You will be on the phone for awhile.
To reach the Pres, CEO.
Call (414) 342 4680, this is the main corp number. Ask operator to connect to  James Ziemer.
You now have THE MAN.
A secretary will be doing the talking for him.

What has their position been? Would it be helpful if more of us get to the same people? Can that be done?

:indian_chief:

I'll PM you with my number if you'd like to discuss.  I've been talking to Harry and others offline.

Good idea, Chief.  My new bike isn't scheduled to arrive for at least another month, but I think I'm gonna call.  I also think it would be a great idea to share the names and phone numbers so we can "gang up on them".   :soapbox:  -Steve

I disagree about ganging up on them. We want to work with them, not against them. The people on the phone are not the ones at fault, but our only pipeline to the people who are.

The nice lady I spoke to said she has only had one other call about that problem and she said she will look into it. I'll give them some time and then reach back out to see what's cooking.

I would have to agree with Cheif on working with not against.  I also left a VM for Rusty to see if I can get some sort of insight from him on why I'm going in for my 3rd gasket.  Obviously somthing must be wrong.  Who knows,  I'll just have to wait and see. :nixweiss:

I just got a call back from Ola, HD Cust Serv, She said they know there is a problem with SOME 110s. She told me the new head gasket would fix the problem and I should go to my dealer and have the fix done.

I politely informed her that I HAD the new gasket installed and it didn't fix the problem.

I too am also waiting on a call from Rusty.

I guess I've been misunderstood.  All I'm saying is that if one or two people hear from one or two people, I believe the problem will not be addressed by the MoCo on a permanent fix.  It sounds like, from what I'm reading on this site, people have their bikes in the shop more than they can ride them.  I think it's true what they say- "the squeeky wheel gets the grease".  -But then again, it's a free country, everyone is entitled to their opinion.  -Retail& Steve

Yes, I did misunderstand your intent. I too feel like we should all call and let them know this is not an isolated here and there problem. A large percentage of the bikes have this problem.

I'll start collecting info post rally.
