Got to ride 2-up some on Saturday. I didn't bother with doing any pre-load or damping changes at all before riding. All I can say is

(2 thumbs up). I ran over every piece of uneven pavement, dip, hump and every other irregularity I could find, stopped just short of hopping curbs. The shocks handled everything very capably. They feel firmer than the Progressives, which probably accounted for not bottoming out at all. I used to be able to get the Progressives to bottom going through dips at driveway ends where there is a slight swale for drainage. Not with these. They do feel firmer, but not harsh at all, just firmer. I think these in 12" length would be great for anyone looking to lower the bike and still have a suspension far superior to the stock set up.
Hopefully I will finally make it to Traxxion this Friday, pending Max's schedule. I guess pretty soon, I'll have to pony up some money and actually pay for these. When I do, it will be money well spent.
