Sorry Kng103 thought I had remembered you having that built from the posts we had back in the day when you were going about it, cvo or not I still don't think they discriminate about people being here, but that is a whole nother bag of worms.   Glad you would rather see someone be safe with the motor than run the risk of hitting a valve on a piston.  Not quite sure what happened with the person that is no longer on the board ...  do you remeber the screen name of the person that was kicked?

There was a post about the change in lifts after some bantering that went on about the heads on the CVO103 that clarified the lift.

I do remember his name and was told i could get the boot for mentioning it.

I know of a whole lotta folks who have committed screen name suicide, my husband was one .......... but only remember one member being kicked, and that person is back here with a different screen name.  If you are talking about Mike -------- He pulled the plug on himself, not one kicked him away from here.  He and I talked a lot off line and I begged him to walk away for a couple of days to calm down before he did anything drastic.............. well ...........

Curious too, Kng, sure miss the pic of your son.  Isn't it funny how we associate things with different members here?  Actually, I have turned off all signature pics and so have no idea if he is back of you or not.

no mrs.we it was not mike.
i still get an email from him every once in a while. he seems to be doing fine.
i agree it was a shame he left. he had alot to offer to the forum.
as far as the pic of my son goes, members were complaining it was too large.
i am not the best with cropping pic sizes so i changed it.
whats the matter??? you don't like j.lo?? :) :)

KNG 103,
Currious, what catalog did you get your information regarding the the SE251 Cam and the 50MM Throttle Body. Im looking at the the 2007 Screaming Eagle Pro Racing parts catalog and on page 30 there is no reference that states the TB does or does not work with cruise control. The catalog also list the correct part number you provided for the 251 cam. And I see no refrence at all for the 110 inch stage 2 kit. The 2007 Screaming Eagle Pro Racing catalog is on their web page as well. If interested, here is the link.

Also, do you have any information regarding the intake and exhaust port sizes on the 110 inch heads?

www.harley-davidson.com/wcm/Content/Pages/Racing/screamin_eagle_parts.jsp?locale=en_US

evilroadking,
you have me confused with someone else.
i didn't post any info on the cam or the throttle body.
i did my cam change in 04 when the moco was being very secretive about the info on the 103 motor.
there was no 110 or even a 113 if i remember correctly.

Because he's a big pansy-ass who is afraid of not doing following the little twirp mechanic at the dealership tells him he can have  ::) .  That, and he's a staunch proponent of maintaining all service standards in comformity the factory warranty.  But, basically, it's the pansy ass thing  :huepfenlol2: .

First off, let me say, YOU GUYS SUCK! ;D

On the cam selection, I felt that the 258's need compression to work properly. I'm not up to raising compression yet. Since these 100's are a little "suspect" right now, I'm letting HD take responsibility for the engine at this time. Not necessarily looking for more top end right now, just more range in the entire RPM band, which the 251's will provide. The larger TB and tuning adjusted for same, will provide more HP and TQ, and do it throughout the RPM range.

My '07 SE Racing Parts Catalog has the typo in it. If they corrected it, fine. Just thought I'd clarify it, since the dealer used it to initially order the cams. You are correct, the '07 catalog doesn't say anything about compatibility of the 50mm TB with cruise, but the '06 catalog is very clear on this and it's the same P/N. That's why I asked the dealer to confirm compatibility. They said HD Tech Services told them it's not. That's where that all stems from.

I consider using stage II parts with roller rockers and the whole 9 yards, but the dealer isn't going along with such aggressive mods on this engine. I've decided to give this thing time to prove itself for the next 1-1/2 years. Then I'll decide what I want to do with it.

Pipes right now are V&H Dresser Duals w/ S&S SPO mufflers. As stated previously, I'm testing these, stock headpipes with the SPO's, and D&D Fat Cats. May the best system win!

As for the pansy-ass pussy BS, I'll race any one of you at any time, with one arm tied behind my back and blindfolded! ;D Well maybe not the Frontier! :o Cut and paste my ass! ;)

Have a splendid day! :sauer021: :sauer019: :sneaky: :vrolijk_26: :rolleyes2:

No argument there with helping people.
That's the best benifit of this site. (well and meeting the members)
I guess it just bothers me (and maybe I'm in the minority) when people present info as if they generated the results on their own.
As far as helping you out, good people get help when they need it and that why I helped.
How many miles on that motor now? Is it still running good?

alot has happened in my life the last couple of years, so i don't get to ride as much as i would like.
it has around 12k on it and after multiple tuners and switching over to the sert, it runs like a raped ape.
i got what i wanted. a dependable bike with power.
thanks for asking.

I'm glad you enjoyed that! ;D

My SERK's an '07 with the new 110" motor. I've ridden one with them and it rode great. It had higher compression, but these cams will work well with stock compression. It might not be the ultimate cam, but it will do for now. It expands the RPM range drastically compared to the 255's that are in the bike now.

The cams were in, but dealer never signed them in. So Service never knew about it. I went there yesterday to see what was going on. Sure enough, they found my cams! Bike's going in on Tues for all the work.

If you guys are nice, I might even let you know the results! ;D

i don't want to start a whole different discussion here.
we have been through the cvo cam argument before.
however my oppinion is that the cvo-253 cam that came in the 103 and the 96 if i not mistaken is a dud.
changing the cam in my bike convinced me of it.
now, that being said. i am sure the 255 cam is also a dud. more than likely an epa issue.
do what you feel is right, but if i were you i would wait and see what develops in the next year or so.
when i changed out the cams there was not enough info on the motor and there were not so many choices. now there are numerous choices.
i'll bet it won't be long before a cam is developed specifically for the 110.
and i while i agree that the 258 would work better with higher compression, i also think any cam other than the 255 would be a benefit to your motor.
good luck with your choice, and remember patience is a virtue.

Thanks kng. Cams are like Doritos, they'll make more! ;D Right now, the 251's will wake this stocker up just a little, and provide better rideability. That's all I need now. After all, why shoot my load all at once. Or maybe I'll just sandbag, so when the blindfolded race comes up, no one will really know what's in there! ;) Hoist! 8)
