Corbin Dual Touring Plain Seat
« on: June 07, 2007, 08:11:45 AM »

Anyone running a Corbin Dual Touring Plain Seat?

I searched the archives and found several bikes with Corbin seats. I couldn't tell if they were the touring seat or not. What I would like to know is how comfortable are they? My stock seat with 23k on it is starting to make me squirm around to try to get comfortable.

Have had three bikes with dual touring saddles on them.  150k miles on the first two bikes with their saddles.  Another 30k and change now on the red bike.  My ass votes for the Corbin saddles.  Ride all day and still ready to get up and do it again or walk around that evening.

00 FLTRSEI, Corbin Dual Touring...this is my second first was on a Heritage. Love the ride. But be aware there is no seat from Corbin for the FLTRSEI due to the tour pac. After my money's gone I figure this out. Sure wish Corbin would have been just a little more helpful with the information. Looking for a back pad OEM I can cut down so it will fit right, but want to keep my OEM so I have the org equip. Also do not expect any assistance if you have issue with the seat. STILL hard to beat the ride and it lowers you so your flat footed on the ground. To answer a main question. If you married, you'll get big points on this seat...(smiles)

I had a Corbin solo on my '01 Fatty and LOVED it.  Wasn't sure Corbin made a seat compatible with my tour-pak either so went with the Air-Hawk air cushion.  Some might think it looks a little funky on top, but I'll tell you if you want to log some miles, this thing is wonderful.  I put 520 miles on it in one day last week and as much as I liked my Corbin, I think the Air-Hawk had it beat for comfort on the long haul.  That said, I've got nothing but good to say about Corbin.

I got my Dual Tour a few days ago , it's the heated version , but I was amazed that unlike my previous Corbin , it was actually comfortable immidiately and on short rides.  It may be the extra padding fot the heat , but the Dual Tour is a wonderful if pricey unit.

Another vote for the Corbin dual tour.  I have that seat with dual backrests when riding two up or long trips with luggage.  I also have a Corbin stinger for solo riding.  Very comfortable for the long haul

What keeps it from fitting with the tour pack?

Mike, if it's contact between the tail of the seat and tour pak you're referring to every Corbin seat I've ever had did that.  All three touring bikes got contact with the Corbin the way the tour paks came from the dealer.  Have to move the tour pak to the mounting holes for rear most placement of the tour pak (or even farther back with that relocator plate from George Winston).

Thank you. I've been considering a Corbin for awhile now. Now I know what it will take to have it function properly with my other parts.

Puzzled, I have had two Road Glides and two different Corbin seats.  Both Dual Touring, not exactly plain but the same Principal.  This the last seat that you will need.  A bit costly but worth every dollar for the confort it renders and don't forget the custom look.

hafbad,

I really like the stitch-work on the SERG seat.  I wonder if Corbin can do similar stitch-work on a heated seat??
Any word on when Corbin will have the dual-tour available for an 08 SEUC?
