Anyway, talked to the sales manager and told him I would give him a deposit right now forthe first Shelby GT500K he could get. He is going to check and let me know in the morning what the expected due date is for the new K Shelby snake is. (probablly good he didn't take the check tonight, it would have bounced like a fat lady on a waterbed. Figure I'd have to sell a kid or two before the bank opens Monday)
Mark, one drive in either the 500 or the 500KR and you'll forget all about the plastic. Hell, I spent 8 hours in a friend's '06 Z06 on Tuesday and they have a bunch of plastic inside, too. It's just a sign of the times. But when he ran tha b!atch through the first three gears and the traction control and the 505HP 427 were fighting with one another to see who would win, neither one of us was thinking about the cheap interior!
The Mustangs (even the 300-odd HP GTs) have all of the look, sound and feel of a bonafide musclecar, mostly 'cause they are one, and any horsepower junkie would be proud to have one of those stellar machines in their garage. Good luck tomorrow with the K and let us know how it turns out. I'm taking the Ram SRT-10 out in the morning with a few guys, 2 with Z06s, 3 with Vipers, and one with Ford GT (yeah, a GT and I'm not talking Mustang here, either), so I'll be thinkin' about ya!
