It's looking good. Is that seat as comfortable as it looks? :)

Looks very cool!  It is amazing the kind of customizations Corbin can do to the seats.

BTW -- tell that cop not to park so close to your cherry!   :D

Upgrades look great.  Thanks for reminding me what my seat looks like less the red stitching which is a nice touch.  It's at Corbin now for rounding off the outside edges of the bucket (been gone 4 weeks today).  It's said they still don't know how to cut out for the saddlebag guards.  Wasn't brave enough to dremel mine but it was sent back for that late last fall.

Thanks for the compliments.....  the red was a great suggestion from 2Lanious Maximus...  and it really does tie it in to the bike
i though seriously about asking for the flames in the same color...but..decided subtle is better......
I really do like the ostrich on the sides too...   hard to not stare at it all day

Thanks Mike
At first blush..yes it is...  only have about three hunnerd miles on it so far..... so its hardly broken in..  but it s a hell of a lot nicer than stock ..no question about it......

it is a little taller than the stock which  takes some getting used to...... and kinda screws with my very nice clearview height ....but so far not bad
it does seem a little wide like others have described and gets the inner thighs a bit when putting the feet down..so may end up getting it shaved this off season....

planning a little jaunt to Neuva Mexico this weekend, so i should have 1500 or so on it in a week or so...more to follow

We're close enough to the same height that might be something to look forward to.  Since they'll do it for free it's worth taking advantage of if you think it'll make any difference at all (and it almost certainly will).

You'll be out the shipping to send it to them anyway.  That'd be a great time to stick your chopped pak's backrest in the same box and get them to recover it to match the seat  :2vrolijk_21: .

only concern is the flagrant disregard for the w-------y word displayed recently with a well handled dremel

Shouldn't be an issue.  I had exactly that conversation with a manager there.  As long it wasn't torn up they just didn't care.

In fact he told me to not even mention it in any written description of what work the seat was going in for.  Since nearly all their seats have the notch the folks working on it will just expect to see them.  Having mine done here at home with basic skills and Dremel Aggression made no difference at all to them working on my seat for free.

They give you one free adjustment in the lifetime of the seat.  As long as something you've done hasn't torn it up somehow, or impacted what they're adjusting for, they just didn't care (which is as it should be really).

I hope you are wrong and they have learned something by now. I just ordered a Corbin last week and told them 3 times about the crash bars. When I got my Corbin solo a year or 2 ago, I only mentioned it once and once was not enough. I had to have Don walk me through the modification rather than send it back. This time I stressed it repeatedly, I guess I find out in a couple of weeks.

If it hasn't shipped yet call them again while the process is ongoing.  I'd not hesitate to remind them they normally build these seats unnotched, they often miss the addition of the notches on new orders, and that you're just wanting to verify they catch it correctly this time.  For what these saddles cost it's not too much to trust but verify (proper citation to Ronald Reagan).

Your right plus it will save me a stroke when I open the box and the notches aren't there.

MJZ-Not to give you a headache, but when I first got my seat, they notched the saddlebag guards in the PASSENGER AREA.  I'm not lying.  Fortunately, they put a picture in the box of the seat and your sales rep gets one to and it was easy to see.  Sent it back, filled in the passenger area, and notched the correct area. They've got to get it right sooner or later.  I'd just like to get my seat back.  I figure when something sits around this long waiting to be worked on that I hope it doesn't come back nicked or scratched.

I ordered direct from Corbin CA, they told me it should be delivered in 3 weeks. My solo that came from Corbin FL took only one week but I'm sure it was a Road King seat they just thought would fit the SEEG and even though they said it would work with crash bars, it had to be notched. Also I have a >1/2 inch gap between the front of the seat and the tank trim, which I understand they corrected in the later SEEG seats.
