On the scorpion what you can do is put in the alternate springs you must find out which combination or which set he has in there red, green, gold or a combo of them. You can help it with an easy clutch install its a pretty easy job and it will make the pull a lot easier, but my guess is that it is over springed which is not hard to do.
2 things you can check on the idle is with a feeler gauge you can check and see if you have 25 to 32 thousands clearance under the butterfly or whether the butterfly is closing to tight. There is a set screw you can adjust with regards to find tuning the MM system, but unless you know what your doing I would have a dealer do it or someone that understands it. I have not had a sensor do that on my earlier bikes, but maybe someone else has. I have seen several bikes with issues idling because of the intake / butterfly.
