I have been called my screen name for a number of years not due to any order I place them in...

  • Short version of my last name
  • A term for my former profession - radio announcer/disc jockey
  • A term some friends utilized during my years in the martial arts, which I am far from at this point in my life

Porthole:
By the time I bought our first boat I had been diving shipwrecks for almost 20 years and never found one. Been on many dives where others brought them up. Intact portholes are a wreck divers dream, next to a ship's bell.

So, the 1st boat got named "Porthole"


And the 2nd, "Porthole II"


And the 3rd, "Porthole III"


And the 1st "real" porthole I got I actually bought on eBay to make a table!

Hey Nige, I'm more into diving then fishing, and all of my biggest fish have been with a spear gun, 8-10 pound fluke, 5.5 pound flounder and a 15 pound blackfish.

Hook & line, I mostly do fluke and sea bass.

The first porthole I saw come up on a dive was pentagon shaped! Over the years I have seen just about every shape you can imagine, round, square, rectangle, oval, opening, non opening, with storm cover, without etc.
