I was trying to come up with a new @msn handle and my toddler granddaughter came running in calling "grandpadoc".  I am a grandpa and a doc, so that is how it all started. This is her as a teen with my stepson on my old 98 RG. He got the bike when the SERG was purchased.

I would never mess with my dad's wishes when he was alive, there is NO way I would go back on his wishes now that he is gone...

Was the promise about keeping it or never painting it?  it would look REAL good red and black.

Man, I felt guilty taking off the freaking leather whips he had on there, the grip and lever tassel things...beat the CHIT out of me!

I still have the stickers he put on the bags, they are Indian feathers, high speed stickers he got.  I am not a huge fan, but I was there when he was putting them on, and he was STOKED about these things, kept talking about them, etc etc...

I would rather leave em then darken that memory.  It's gonna stay as is unless it's a safety thing like the controls or the windshield.

As the bike gets ridden (to say, errrr, maggie valley and such)  and washed the sticker may take the natural course and fall off, fade out whatnot, anyway, those whippy things, yea I understand I wooda too.
