Stef is doing VERY well.  Thanks for asking, John.  She is rid of the brace during the day, but she must wear it, locked down, at night.  Still crutchbound for another month until radiographs show the exfix pin holes in her femur have healed.

Been out at a rally all weekend and just found your update on Mikey.

I will be lifting Mikey and his family up in prayer.  I will also pray for you and all the others that are continuing to minister to Mikey and his family.

It is tough to understand when a kid is stricken with cancer.
I was diagnosed with cancer when I was 26 years old.  I have been in remission for 21 years now...All Praise & Glory to God. 
Mikey is going down a tough road and he and his family need all the prayer and support they can get.

Please keep us updated.

For those that are interested and have been praying for Mikey I would like to give you an update. Mikey had an MRI to see how his treatments have affected his brain tumor. As I reported from a previous post that they removed as much of the tumor as they could but it was impossible to get it all. Mikey has had chemo and radiation treatment along with a new drug for a while now. He was a bit nervous to hear the results but this report is a great one!!! His tumor showed some shrinkage and nothing new showed up!!! Praise God for hearing our prayers!

Mikey's cancer is an aggressive cancer that usually spreads rather fast. If I remember when I researched his cancer it was something like 30 percent live for 5 years. So his results were certainly uplifting. I believe with all my heart that God is capable of healing Mikey and it has only been by the petitioning of prayer that has kept him and his family going thru this storm!

If you pray, please continue to do so. Right now Mikey's blood counts are not cooperating. He has to be careful not to get sick as he is very susceptible to infection. Because of this he has not been able to attend school yet. Please pray that God continues to heal his body and bring his blood counts where they need to be. Thanks for your prayers and keep the faith! God Bless!

Well I figured today is a good day to give you an update on my lil buddy Mikey and his fight with brain cancer. Today was St. Judes Marathon weekend and what a beautiful day the Lord has Blessed us with. I got up and left out to meet downtown at 6:30 this morning. It was a beautiful sun rise and although it was a bit chilly it warmed up nicely. They announced they raise more money in this 1 day event then they do in the 4 day Fed X golf classic. Enjoyed a great day and took my lil banana so she could enjoy it too!

Mikey has had to change Chemo's since it was messing up his blood to a point it was hard to recover. They have him on an experimental drug and this has helped him on his blood but he has lost too much weight as he gets sicker with this one. Today, everyone was all smiles!!! Please continue your prayers for Mikey and his family. It has been a pleasure to be with this family during their time in need.
