Happy,
My Leaker was built in Nov 06 and I took delivery the week in between
Christmas and New Years.  Many of the other bikes here with the leak were built prior and
now we are finding out that even some built in 07 are getting the leak.
And it varies when the leak is discovered, some as little as a couple thousand miles,
me at 5200 and other near 10,000.  This is a tricky one, but they all lead back to the
head gasket, so that tells me some poor quality in the parts that HD is using on their
bikes and trying to keep the EPA aproved.

Unbalanced,

Got the scoot back yesterday, and the true duals, SERT and big air have made a significant difference.  While in the shop they replaced the rear tire and shocks (low profile).  Seems that the shocks had collapsed allowing the rear fender to tear out chunks from the tire.  No surprise though, been having noise and rideability problems since new tire installed in W VA.
Stopped at three dealers during 2000 mile trip home to have noises checked but none of them could find the problem.  Once again, no problems at local shop, guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

If any more problems surface, I'll let you know.

Ride safe

is there by chance a certain serial ## that this started wirh or ended with?? thanks,
                  Happy

Mine was started from the States at the beginning of January 07.
It means that it was build in December 06.
I've leak on the rear cylinder (head gasket) and rocker boxes problem.
Today, I've put my bike to dealer and he'll change the two head gaskets and look for the clearance.

Well, Dealer got the job done in a day, both head gaskets and said the rocker boxes were fine, YIKES.  Might have to go in there myself and do a little clearancing.  Will pick up tonight and ride the monkey snot out of it.
Hopefully all is well now!

Scary about the rocker boxes Tim. What did they say about the rear barrel? I hope they did you right and it stays trouble free. I hope mine gets done as quickly once I bring it in on Sun. Good luck man! Hoist! 8)

Thanks for asking:  dealer ordered rings, compression release sensor, rear cylinder, gasket kit, valve guides, badges. I think thats it..   cylinder was on back order but they pulled one off production (after fighting about back order). part should be in today (should be)

I hope to get the bike back and run it to see if I can make it break. I'm going to ride to utah in a month and I would like it to run well before I get out into the desert.

Then I will be giving it to a shop, forget the warranty, not sure which shop !!!

Somewhere on this thread somebody said to quiet bitching about the dealer/moco and go get your upgrades and make the bike run the way you like it to run. This stuck with me, I'm a rider not a mechinic, I stop getting my hands dirty a long time ago although I have always liked it.  :2vrolijk_21:

 So there I am  :nixweiss:

 live is good

This stuck with me, although I do think the moco should sell me a bike that at least runs. Even if it doesn't run well, it should at least run... :o

That would be me mofo! And it took me a little while to get with the program, but FTW! What's important is getting it perfect. Then you don't need the W.....ty! Mine's going in this weekend. I wasn't even relying on them to be able to get me parts. I bought my own barrels, piston sets, and gaskets so I'd have them when the motor's apart. I'm not counting on a dealer to get me these parts overnight. Look at the grief se07's going thru right now. I'm bringing them every part needed for the overhaul. If they don't need the parts, I'll return them and pay the restocking fee. It's worth it not to hear the BS excuses about why they can't get parts, while my bike sits for weeks.

You can spend your time fighting, and letting people who you wouldn't normally let touch it or ever pay, work on your bike anyway, just to save some $$$. Or you can do WTF you want on your own dime! I'm not letting any beauracratic BS dictate how my bike gets worked on, or by whom! Unless the part you use is the direct cause for a failure, they still owe you W.....ty anyway. And they still must W.....ty the rest of the bike regardless!

So do what you want! Get what you want, not what you get! And FTW!!! ;)

Good luck mofo and let's hear how everything goes! :2vrolijk_21:

Howie, they said the rocker boxes were nice and clean and no sign of wear.  Well, as I ride it now, the boxes are screaming at me, so much louder than when I dropped it off.  I know they re-assembled them and it is rubbing like crazy.  Damn this pisses me off!! I just may tackle the clearancing myself and know that this will be done right(I will read the post from Rhino.  I am just worried about adjusting the pushrods.  Other than that, I am pretty sure I can handle it. No Beer for this job!

Man, are you ever going to be pleased when you clearance the boxes and the motor quiets down. You will be grinning from ear to ear.  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Go for it and take pictures to post. I'm sure others would love to see how to do it.
