Take a look around the proverbial neighborhood Rhino.  The Don Garlits museum is just over in Ocala.  Residence is on the museum grounds.  He still oversees the restorations for the pieces going on display.  He ran a 323.04 just five years ago.  Not bad for an old dead guy.

The Ol Swamp Rat's museum is a must see for all motorheads...very cool to see the hot wheels you had as a kid in real life...several mint Honda CT-70's scattered about too.  If you are lucky, he'll be slidin around while your there or sitting on the porch as you drive by into the place, be sure and wave.

Hopefully, today's the last step with the engine this year. I'm going back up to Joe's to change the Fatcat Quiet Performance muffler to the Quiet muffler. Unfortunately, the Perf. muffler is just too damn loud. It's like drag pipes. It was fun solo. And I really liked the way it growled! ;) But I found out when we went to Q's, it was a little too much on longer trips. Made a chattering sound in my head (like teeth chattering when you're shivering) after awhile. And Binx wasn't a big fan either, and asked when the exhaust will be finished! :nixweiss: ;D

Then we'll get the best tune we can from it, and that will be it for the engine, for now! ::) It will be what it is, and I'm happy with it. As long as that's the case, the numbers are the numbers. You guys can get hung up on that! :o

Never got the time to do the shocks yet. I'm going on Wed to do the PM Calipers, 12.5" W1's, and to do what I have to to the neck bearings after the "Pothole Incident". I'll do the shocks then. The bags should be in next week or so. I should be all set by HS! :2vrolijk_21:

I can't seem to catch a break! :( Joe just called. It's 65% RH in the dyno room right now! No tuning this weekend. New plan is to go up on Mon nite, get everything done on Tues, and come home Tues Nite. Then off to the Dealer on Wed for the rest. Man, this is cutting it way too close ffor comfort! :nixweiss:

There's something going on there Talon. It's good to have the neck bearings adjusted after the first 5K miles anyway. I'm hoping that the jamming it took thru that PH will just require readjusting the neck bearings and lubing. We'll find out whe we try to adjust it. I hope they don't need replacing, but that will be the time to do it! ;)

Wouldn't all that constant air recycling dry the air out though?  Maybe Joe should just stand him up in the dyno run and take off his rev limiter  :huepfenlol2: .
