Here's a tough question.
Can you price out all this work you have had done?
The front end, the shocks, the chrome, the motorwork, etc.
That would be an interesting #!

And if you need to keep it hush hush could you pm the info to those that want to know what it takes to get a R/K to where it's right.

 

I'll second that request!  Inquiring minds want to know.  We know you have been obsessed with this entire build, the front end etc., but it sure looks like it's paying off in spades!

Most folks won't understand what I did, so I'll keep the cost on the QT. I did top-of-the-line performance parts. Engine, Suspension, Brakes, etc. Got all the touring stuff I needed taken care of. Not much bling or chrome added. Contact me privately if you have specific questions. I'll be happy to help out. I won't be posting costs though!

I'm glad people do realize our banter is in good humor.
You are right about the torque!
The more, the lower, the better.
That's why the Frontier is such a kick in the ass putting around.
130 at 2500 and 140 at 3000. I call it "twist and go"
And I don't know where Hubbard pulled that low gear chit from but the gearing is stock.
It just has torque!

I agree with Bagger, that's why Howie can't give it WOT from idle!! He's going to look like the guy from Fullsac!! Need Chips old wheelie bars!!!

This has been quiet a few days now. Here's a couple of pics of the way it looks today. I still need to install the PM Calipers, Velva-Ride Stabilizer Links, True-Track Front Motor Mount, Sta-Bo Swingarm Mount Stiffener Bushings, and the 12.5" W1's. When I do the bars, I'll check those neck bearings. Hopefully they can be adjusted. If not, I'll replace them when the bars are off. The Hard Bags should be here by the end of the month. I'm going back up to Joe's next weekend to get a final, final tune on it. I plan a full report for ya'll when everything's completed. Until then here's a couple of pics for ya!

 Did you change the seat ?? And Hoist where's the ghost pipe ? You need to put the ghost pipe on......looks better on a bagger..Just IMHO, but hey still looks great and you might be able to keep up now too.

Kingdog are you going to HS or Maggie Valley, want to hear how well Howie keeps up.   I know Chip won't be bringing the Frontier to HS, guess he decided he wasn't worried about Howie or Howie hasn't taunted him enough so it will be good to get a realistic idea if all this investment was worth while for Binx's safety.

That's the stock seat. I also have the black-studded Sundowner w/a larger matching sissy bar/passenger backrest for Touring. No ghost pipe KD. If it ain't connected to anything, it doesn't belong on the bike. Weight is time! And I load this up pretty good on road trips. And I'll try to keep up with anyone. I love meeting ones I can't. They make me smile too, just watching them!

I might have missed something in the translation there, but I think I saw Kingdog say he was gonna show you what a quick Roadking was after this winter.   It flashed so quickly on the screen I thought it said Here Howie Howie, Here Howie Howie then it was gone.

I told him I'd try to keep up. What more can I say? Either I can or I can't. Didn't build the world's fastest bike, or even the fastest 110 for that matter. I built it for what I wanted out of it. Great performance, reliability, and longevity! It goes really good for what it is, and came out exactly as I hoped it would. The other two, still need to be determined!  I'll play with anybody though. My bike makes me smile when I ride it now. If anybody blows by me, I'll smile at theirs too! I love going fast, straights, and thru twisties. But I ride my ride!

Oh yes it is! This bike's just about done (for now anyway! ) Let's just see how that reliability thing and that longevity thing go! Ain't there enough stirrers around this pot!
