Hello all!

Awesome forum...Just took delivery of my '06 CUSE last Friday and have spent much time getting everything set up just right (and riding too).  All is great (took a while to figure out tour pak light - thanks forum).  I am trying to get the CB to work and get a read out on the audio system that says option not installed.  This is when I hit the COM button.  Perhaps I am doing something wrong but it seems like it does not exist.  I thought this was stock.  Any suggestions?

Welcome to the site and glad to see you are getting needed info (light), most of us used that one.

There is a thread on asoftware upgrades for the radios.  You might try that first, if the radio has stopped recognizing the CB you may need a radio if the software flash doesn't do a trick.

The CB is an extra module that sits on top of the radio under the fairing. If it has been unplugged, the radio will not know it is there. I would make sure it is there and is plugged in.

Thanks.  That could explain it.  I purchased the bike from a lender who re-poed it.  A fw things were missing...Cover, Saddle bag liners.  Sounds like the CB Module is missing too.  That is external and not in the faring?

Under the front fairing on top of the radio.

OK - I thought you were saying the CB is on top of the radio but external to the fairing.  I will check out inside the fairing.

Hey Chief - Any idea what the CB Module looks like?  I upgraded s/w and still option.  I took fairing partially apart (less bottom 2 screws - need a longer Torx).  I can see the radio but nothing on top.  Thanks

The CB module is a little silver box mounted right on top of the radio. It is a little bit bigger than a deck of playing cards. If it's there, you'll see it. The CB antenna cable plugs into the back of it.

There should be an XM radio module also on top of the radio also.

If it was repoed, I would take it a (trusted dealer) And Have them investigate the problems with YOU present.

Thanks everyone.  CB and XM are on top.  XM works fine, not CB though.  Since it is under warranty, I think I'll let the dealer figure it out.

Well I had in the shop and confirmedc the CB module was bad.  New one on order.
