I read that one too. I think I'll bail on the idea of an '07 with ABS. With the CAD drawings I saw in the tech sheets this AM, there were a lot of changes done to the frame in the midsection. I'm thinking I'll get ABS on my next bike instead of the current one.

I also read one of the other test ride reports describing the sensation of the system, and they said the feedback to the pedal and lever were pretty significant, especially the pedal. I really want to jump on one and hammer the brakes just to try it out.

Oh well, c'mon 2013's.

Was only now seeing some of that also.  A bit short on spare time at the moment so recreation research didn't get done last night.

Given Harley's history on success of first year innovations during their first year it's probably not a good idea to be messing with mission critical systems in such a way anyway.  Still nice to see them finally taking first steps in that direction though.  When the red bike is finally ready for softer pastures it can retired in favor of a regular day to day bike that has ABS.  Until then, no big deal.

Well, maybe my 2008 addition will be to upgrade the bag locks to use the extra fob, although the idea of carrying two fobs is not real exciting. Being able to work the bag locks without the key would be really nice.

Well, Chief, at least it'd be a way to carry a backup battery for your keyfob (assuming they both use the same size battery)  har!  :drink: spyder

C'mon Spyder!!!! Do you really think they would be that logical? The remote for for the locks probably uses a D cell.  :D

Chit, the more I look at the new white/silver SE Ultra, the more I like it but the paint scheme doesn't jump out and grab me at all. I like the bronze/black scheme much better but I have always wanted a white ultra.  Hmmmmmmmmmmmm?????????????
I have my banana set up perfect for me now and there is no way I would sell it. 2 SE Electras in the stable, nawwwwwwwwwwwww. (but maybe)

Two is better than one!  When you want to work on one, you still have the other to ride.   :huepfenjump3:

Well, Howie found the 11.81" number for the new calipers and if I recall correctly, 11.5" is the pre '08 diameter rotors. Looks like an upgrade to Brembo ABS isn't in the cards. Maybe I'll just have to settle for the hinged lower doors and a remote for the saddle bag latches.  :(

Appears to be my consolation prize as well - these 2 upgrades.

Suppose taking a car from non ABS to full ABS is expensive also, but $2k++ to go ABS - not likely for me, even with alms.....alms for the poor non ABS CVO rider, alms......

Ain't that the truth. Alms might get one hinged door.  ;D

Well, the salt from my tears combined with drool on the 08 paint in the showroom will test the clear coat on these new babies is all I'm gonna say.

For now.   ;D
