Actually I do expect one more new '08 model model to be released this year by HD.  Remeber that FLSTSB that was referenced in this carb report:
[url]http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/onroad/cert/hmc/2008/harleydavidson_m0050139_1584_0d6_hn.pdf[url]

That bike which is anticipated to be a blacked out FL Springer hasn't surfaced yet.  My guess is that bike will surface and be released a little later this year.

That would be a good way to keep the Springer after this year. Assuming they end its 2 year SE run.

2009 CVO Rocker C will probably replace the Springer. A 2009 CVO 1200XR would be a way to finally get a Sporty in the CVO game.

The bike I am referencing is not a softail springer but an FL based springer probably very much like the Springer Classic with the wide front end and tire but all blacked out.  Could be a real neat bike.

I was at one of the local dealers today, and the only '08's they had on the floor, was an Anniversary Street Glide and Anniversary VRod.  I took some a pic of each with my cell phone so they're not the best.  The copper actually looks better, I think, in the picture then it did in person.  One thing I noticed on the Street Glide, they went to a fiberglass shorter whip (about 2 feet long), instead of the long wire whip.  It looked alot sweeter.  One thing I do like about the Anniversary Street Glide's seat, and I don't know if you can see it in the pics, but there is a copper insert that runs front to back on the black seat...pretty cool.  Anyway, here's the Street Glide

Spoke with a buddy at a dealership a few hundred miles away earlier today.  He said they had a dozen 08 bikes delivered already.  None set out or even unpacked.  Owner didn't want the competition for all the 07s still on the floor.  Sounds like cutting off one's nose to spite one's face.  But hey, what do I know  :nixweiss: .

I'm betting Zippers has an answer to that question!
But I think they are wrong!
