I'm thinking Erik's finally convinced the motor company that if they want to be in the sport bike business then they needed an engine. As much as I like a hot rod Sportster engine, in a sport bike they are archaic.

Harley ought to be behind these guys 100% - this is a truly fresh thinking machine that deserves respect regardless if its your bag of tea or not.  This will only lead to good things. I have been attracted to the Ulysses for some time and it was a fresh approach to dual sport bikes that lead directly to this bike.  Congrats to Erik Buell - nice job!

Erik has been pushing the design envelope for years , and for the Buells application the limiting factor has been the motor.  Just think if the Ducati/HD merger happened .. hmmm   Rotax makes good motors , had one in my Skidoo  bulletproof and fast

i agree it would be good for harley, it could lead to  a bagger that would have for that 66 hp
