When I find a bike I like I tend to hold on to them, I had a 95 Road King before moving up to my 01 SERG. I tried a Softale custom before the Road King and hated it so I only had it a couple of months and before that I tried a Buell for a few weeks. I may purchase another bike someday but I'll most likely keep my SERG untill  I get to old to ride.

BTW, Mrs. We CVO, one of my favorite rides last summer was Route 5 from Richmond to Williamsburg...that is until I hit the bridge that was under repair...and the Big Black Clouds forming just as I go there...I hightailed back to Richmond before I could get over to the Colonial Parkway which had been my plan.  My wife was going to a couple of meetings so I drove down with her with the Bike loaded in the bed of the truck.  While she "met", I rode, sounded fair to me plus I got her a shirt when I stopped in at Colonial HD.

The reason I liked it was that it was a 50-55mph 2-lane road without manhole covers or frostheaves.  Nothing like that up here in SE Mass.

I used to buy an sell in about 2-3 years , now that I've found my dream bike , I'm holding on forever [smiley=1syellow1.gif]

That seems like a warm and fuzzy thought.  But I'd have a hard time doing that.  Forecloses the next dream.  After all, there's gotta be something to lust after next......

My vote..buy and hold...

That hold's true on many matters in life...marriage, job, home, stocks, etc.

Perhaps, I am out of touch?  I agree when it comes to technology...depends upon the sector, however many are designed to go updated in 2 yrs.

Oh well.
